Enchanting and uniquely beautiful, this necklace and clip style earring set will draw the admiring eye time and time again. The necklace's incredible design begins with a center row of small and finely textured gold tone discs, each disc layered slightly over the next, creating a serpentine-like feel. Each disc also has a exceptionally bright blue aurora borealis prong set rhinestone. Set below this row of discs on either side are double rows of the brilliant blue AB chatons, creating a domed effect. The incredible brightness and clarity of these stones cannot be overstated. They are simply stunning with flashes of amethyst, fuchsia, green and gold. A small extension of single chatons ends with a J-hook clasp, revealing the only missing stone in this entire set. At the other end is a longer extension of single chatons, followed by a delicate chain with tiny AB stones set in between the links. A larger chaton finishes the end. Dazzling and elegant!
The earrings echo the design of the necklace and have the added allure of a sexy curve. These clip style earrings are climbers, designed to climb right up the ear.
I've taken a close up of the necklace and earring backings to show the quality workmanship and design of this set. Each stone has been carefully prong set within an incredible gold tone setting, and the overall effect is just enthralling! The J-hook style clasp has the only marking on the set, and it is marked "W Germany"
TIME PERIOD: circa late 1950's - 60's
CONDITION: Both pieces are in Exceptional condition, even with the one small stone missing at the J-hook end of the necklace. This should be virtually unnoticeable when worn. The earring clips are in perfect working order.
